Lower and Middle Wabash River Watershed

As part of FEMA's Risk Mapping, Assessment, and Planning (Risk MAP) program, the ISWS is working with communities across the Wabash River watersheds to develop a more accurate understanding of their flood risk.

Phase 1 Discovery Meetings were hosted by the University of Illinois Extension in Paris, Robinson, and Mt. Carmel, Illinois, in July 2011. Three Discovery Meetings were also held in Indiana. A second phase of Discovery called "Action Discovery" took place in May 2015 with meetings held in Albion and Marshall, Illinois.
