Saline River Watershed Discovery

The Saline River Watershed encompasses large sections of Saline, Gallatin, Hamilton, White, Williamson, and Hardin Counties in Illinois. It also reaches within small portions of Franklin, Johnson, and Pope Counties.

A Discovery map and report have been prepared and may be downloaded along with the Discovery database.

Saline Discovery Meeting

A meeting in November 2011 between numerous municipalities, agencies and companies with Illinois State Water Survey, Federal Emergency Management Agency, University of Illinois Extension and Illinois Management Agency should result in more accurate maps.

Officials discuss Saline Watershed Flood Hazards

The major goal of the meeting was for the various entities to examine flood maps and point out issues, mark them on a map and fill out comment cards.
